Reports to: Director of Operations

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the hiring and training of production personnel.
  • Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of production personnel.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for all production employees including staffing, training, and reviews.
  • Manage the production supervisors to ensure understanding and adherence to the schedule and quality goals.
  • Monitor and improve utilization and efficiency of production personnel and resources.
  • Establish and maintain cost and time standards with engineering for all projects.
  • Drive production to meet these established time standards.
  • Work with scheduling to establish production schedules and ensure they are met.
  • Support the quality department, resolve all product related issues and to set and maintain performance to quality objectives,
  • Advise the management team on process, staffing, equipment, and facility improvements to support the company’s continued growth.
  • Monitor preventive maintenance programs to ensure on time completion of maintenance and report issues to the facilities manager.
  • Any additional tasks as requested or required to help Fusion achieve its goals.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Must be a US person.
  • Ability to work from written English work instructions required.
  • Highly skilled in generating and analyzing reports in Excel.
  • This position reports to the executive staff so effective communication skills are required.

Education and Work Experience:

  • 4-year degree preferably in engineering or business. This may be waived based on experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ production management experience in electronics assembly.
  • APICS certification is desired.

Environmental Conditions:

  • Position works in an office environment in a temperature-controlled environment.
